We got the goods to keep you frozen this summer with our new Frappes, Fruit Blast Smoothies, and our fresh brewed, au-naturale Iced Tea. Bring your friends and enjoy them out back in our NEW GARDEN SEATING AREA! Cindy went to work on building the coziest little al-fresco space in Beaver County. Stop in and take a peek!
Musicians and Events for Summer 06'
In the past we worked hard to bring you some of the best musical acts in the Pittsburgh area. This summer is no different. We started June with Silk House artists in residence, our neighbors, Tobin Studios. The last week in June rising singer-songwriter Brooke Annibale brought her soulful folk-rock to us. Be sure to catch Brooke while she's in the area, because soon she will be on her way back to Nashville, TN. As always, we provide our entertainment free of charge! Stay tuned for an update of more musicians to come.
Local visual artist, Hilary Shames, will grace The Silk House with a preview collection of her new works. Ms. Shames was the 2005 recepient of the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts' Emerging Artist award. Her body of work spans more than two decades, with her latest exhibitions delving into her self-described "21st Century" style of creation. Her mediums may vary, but her talents remain unwavering and considerable. The date of this event is TBA.
We thank you so much for your patronage to the local art and music scene. As the Pittsburgh Cultural District once said, "The Arts bring Life to Life." If you or someone you know has a talent they would like to showcase, please contact our manager Erica. We are currently in the process of scheduling more events for your consumption. First and foremost on the list an open mic night. We would be happy to field any questions or comments you have for us!
- Sat June 24 6:30 - 8:30: Brooke Annibale
